Describe your cooking style in three words: Clean. Tasty. Simple.
What’s your signature dish? Kitchen sink salads. Or anything with pesto.
What do you think is the most underrated ingredient? Lemon juice.
What’s the best cooking advice you’re ever received? Mise en place—the French term for keeping yourself prepped and organized in the kitchen. It is one of the most important fundamental aspects of cooking. It’s the first thing you learn in culinary school, and definitely one of the most important. It does not matter if I’m making a salad for myself or cooking for a large group. Never under estimate the power of an organized kitchen.
If you could share a meal with anyone in history who would it be? I may have to go totally cliché here and say, Julia Child. Her passion for food and cooking is infectious (and adorable) and her knowledge is endless. I am sure she would be a ton of fun.
