Professional psychologist, Sara Loureiro, never imagined sharing her love of cooking with the world. It wasn't until she joined a local cooking group, Cuisine Companion Moulinex Portugal, that she gained the confidence; being encouraged by her fellow members to share her love of cooking with the world. We're so glad she did.

Describe your cooking style in three words: Instinctive. Familiar-gourmet. Savory.
What's your signature dish? I confess I feel a little shy talking about a signature dish being an amateur cooker…perhaps because I´m still on the search for that one special recipe. Although I´m very proud of my delicious Donas Amélias Cookies (a reinvention of the traditional Terceira Island D. Amélia Cake – I´m a proud Azorean!), Citrus Tart and Lavender Pavlova with Lemon Whipped Cream and Rosemary Flowers topped with Honey. And there goes three!
What do you think is the most underrated ingredient? I just don´t live without my aromatic herbs. They´re wonderful on main courses, desserts, drinks. I just love to play with their versatility.
What's the best cooking advice you've ever received? The one my dear Grandmother, a reference in live and in cooking, gave me: “Don´t be afraid to try new recipes or being creative; the worst it can happen is that you have to try it again to get it better”.
If you could share a meal with anyone in history who would that be? Julia Child, for sure. A women that taught people that cooking is fun and that we can have in our kitchens wonderful familiar gourmet meals. She changed the way America lived with food and, with a simple and happy way, were recognized by everyone, professionals and the simple citizen who watched her shows and read her books. An inspiration!
